Mumbai (Maharastra) [India],October 11: The four-day celebration of Durga Puja at Bhoomi Park Durgotsab, Mumbai, from 8th to 11th October, showcases celebrity appearances, cultural programs, community bonding, and more. This year, Bhoomi Park Durgotsab’s theme is “A Hundred-Fold Power – Shoto Haat e Durga.”

The theme, “Shoto Haat e Durga” (Durga with a Hundred Hands), highlights the goddess’s multifaceted power. Each hand symbolizes a distinct virtue—compassion, wisdom, protection, or courage—united in the eternal battle against evil. This concept serves as a reminder that Durga’s energy resides within each of us, inspiring participants to tap into their inner strength to overcome life’s challenges.

The inauguration on 8th October 2024 was graced by National Award-winning actor, motivational speaker, stand-up comedian, and singer Ashish Vidyarthi, who attended with his newlywed wife, Rupali Barua. Vidyarthi, seen performing the traditional Dhunuchi Naach, expressed his delight, stating, “I love attending Bhoomi Park Durgotsab every year, but this year is especially meaningful as it marks my wife Rupali’s first Durga Puja after our marriage.”

On Day 2, National Award-winning actor Anupam Kher was present along with the cast and crew of his newly released film ‘Signature.’ On Day 3, renowned singer Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota will perform some of his hit songs, adding to the spiritual atmosphere. Other notable performers include Debojit Saha, winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, and comedian-actor VIP, ensuring an evening of captivating entertainment.

Now in its 13th year, Bhoomi Park Durgotsab expects a footfall of over 50,000 visitors. Attendees can experience Bengal’s rich heritage through exquisitely crafted idols, intricately designed pandals, and artwork that captures the essence of Durga Puja. Visitors will also enjoy complimentary bhog every afternoon and attend evening cultural performances featuring Bollywood celebrities, all free of cost. Additionally, Kolkata’s famous street food will be available at various food stalls within the Puja pandal, allowing devotees and visitors to enjoy a meal of their choice.
